Meats

Clonakilty Blackpudding is Ireland's premium breakfast pudding. First manufactured in the 1880's, the secret recipe and production methods have remained the same to this day. This recipe is mixed once a week by the Twomey family, the current guardians of the secret and sole owners of the Company. It is this special blend of ingredients that gives Clonakilty its unique taste, crumbly texture and distinctive flavour.

Restaurant

Heir Island is a tiny island in majestic Roaring Water Bay in West Cork, and home to The Island Cottage Restaurant. It is, as the name would suggest, a traditional farm cottage, home to a unique restaurant, created by John Desmond & Ellmary Fenton. For the past 25 years, they have accepted small numbers of bookings, the island can only be reached by small boat from a tiny nearby harbour and the menu is set, featuring only what they have harvested locally or sourced from local fishermen and farmers on the day. It is a true one-off experience. An unforgettable evening in a magical setting. Very West Cork. However, they can only accommodate small numbers so please book well in advance.

Café

A short, 15-minute drive from the city centre – the quirky & gorgeous Workshop Tea Rooms is the place that serves “tea and cake at the end of the runway”. In the countryside just behind Cork airport, it’s run by two brothers who converted their dad’s old country carpentry workshop into a café that doubles up as a vintage furniture & curios salesroom. This little slice of joy is one of Cork’s best (or possibly worst) kept secrets.
