If you can come to Cork in mid-June, this unique celebration of Cork city cuisine is not to be missed – 12 of Cork’s finest restaurants and chefs come together to seat 400 diners along one, huge, elegantly decorated table running the length of one of the city’s finest Georgian streets. A small army of serving staff ferry four courses, with wine, to the diners in what is – for one glorious evening – an eccentric, joyous, open-air feast. 12 of Cork’s finest restaurants and chefs are working together to showcase Cork’s world class food culture, incredible home-grown produce and outstanding producers. This collaborative event celebrates the spirit unique to the city and county is an essential experience for foodie and culture lovers alike. The Long Table 2017 will take place outdoors in the elegant and atmospheric surroundings of South Mall, where 400 diners will be treated to the very best produce available from the fields and seas surrounding Cork. The chefs of 12 restaurants will be working as a team to deliver a set menu, with wine at every course, stylishly presented on a beautifully decorated long table and expertly served by 40 of Cork’s fantastic service staff.
