Heir Island is a tiny island in majestic Roaring Water Bay in West Cork, and home to The Island Cottage Restaurant. It is, as the name would suggest, a traditional farm cottage, home to a unique restaurant, created by John Desmond & Ellmary Fenton. For the past 25 years, they have accepted small numbers of bookings, the island can only be reached by small boat from a tiny nearby harbour and the menu is set, featuring only what they have harvested locally or sourced from local fishermen and farmers on the day. It is a true one-off experience. An unforgettable evening in a magical setting. Very West Cork. However, they can only accommodate small numbers so please book well in advance.
