The Jameson Distillery

Visiting the Jameson Distillery, a half-hour east of the city in Midleton, is an experience most visitors to Cork will have at the top of their list. A mere 200 years in the making, this is one of the most visited whiskey distilleries in the world, the spiritual home of a great spirit, and a place to see where one of Ireland’s most famous exports goes from grain to glass (with a little magic along the way).

In 1780, John Jameson established an approach to whiskey-making that the distillery which proudly bears his name has remained faithful to ever since.

Today, this historic home of Irish whiskey has a lot of tales to tell and some fine spirits to sample and take home from its well-stocked visitor store.

Visit, take the tour and enjoy and experience over 200 years of craft and fascinating heritage in the place where one of the true greats was born.
