West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by close friends Denis McCarthy, Ger McCarthy & John O’Connell in the historic fishing port of Union Hall, West Cork.
Ger & Denis had been deep sea trawler men while John was a research & development scientist for some blue chip food & beverage companies.
Inspired by West Cork’s thriving artisan food & beverage scene, the three life-long friends set about establishing a distillery to produce the highest quality spirits and provide sustainable employment in this beautiful yet relatively remote part of Ireland.
The team at West Cork Distillers has grown steadily since its inception, using the famous “Can Do” West Cork spirit.
